  • Hello everyone!

Can you believe it's December already? Time is seriously just flying by!

Well it was a good week! Here are the highlights!

On Tuesday we had a lesson with D.
We were about to start the lesson but then 10 minutes after we were there- he left.

But D's  fiancé, V, invited her friend N to come and sit in on the lessons.
So we talked to her for a bit. We got to know her. And she asked us some questions.
She got emotional and told us that she wants to start meeting with us! We were able to pick her up as another person to teach! We also invited her to church and she said that she would come. We just needed to get her transportation. So we found her a ride. And she and her three kids went to church yesterday! So that we amazing!!

On Friday we went to Midland to see a nativity! A member of the ward brought her non-member sister to it. So it was perfect! They had over 900 nativities from all around the world! It was so beautiful! It made me more excited for this Christmas season!

We also had trade offs. Sister Anderson  and I were with Sister Patch. All three of us went door knocking Thursday night for a good 30, maybe 40 minutes. After we were done door knocking we were walking back to our car. As we were walking back, this dog started charging after us. I kinda freaked out cause it was a big dog but Sister Anderson said to not move. So I just stood there. The owner ran up and apologized. We started talking to this guy. And explained who we were. He said that he used to be religious. But he told us that ever since his step dad died he stopped going to church and didn't believe that a loving God would let his stepdad die.  I was able to bear my testimony to him of the plan of Salvation and that he will see his dad again. I also was able to bear my testimony to him of the BOM and the peace and comfort he will receive as he reads it. We just thought it was cool cause he said that his step dad died like a year and a half ago of that very day we were there. And his dog happened to run up to us that day. It was was pretty cool!

For our worldwide day of service we made rice krispie treats along with a spiritual thought and we would ding dong ditch people that we were teaching and members of the ward. It was actually a lot of fun!! I just love serving!! It seriously is the best!

Thank you all for your love and support! I truly love being a missionary in the Michigan Lansing Mission! I am grateful for the testimony I have been able to develop of the Atonement of Jesus Christ! He loves you all! He perfectly understands what you're going through!

    Love you all!

  • Hello everyone!

It has been another great week here in Michigan! It snowed last night a good 6 to 7 inches! So this will be fun :)

Wednesday-we had district council and interviews with President and Sister Brennan. I just love the Brennans so much! They always give me wise counsel. And they are just the best mission presidents ever!!

Thursday was THANKSGIVING! We had it with D and her family! It was the best Thanksgiving and I will always remember that day forever.

J said the prayer for the first time over the food. Usually he doesn't say it and just has one of us say it. But he said a beautiful prayer! And we were also able to pick up D's mom B as a new person to teach so that's exciting!
We just had a really fun time with them.

Sister Anderson was talking to D and Sister Martin was talking to B and I was with the kids-I just love their family
After that we went PCing in the cold and snow. It was actually really fun. I remember walking and my fingers were SUPER COLD! So I said a prayer in my head and I how I was doing the Lord's work and I asked Heavenly Father to help my hands that they wouldn’t  be cold anymore. And right after I said that prayer my hands became really warm. That was random but I thought it was a cool experience.

On Saturday morning we helped a recent convert B clean out his house. His house, mostly in his basement has black mold. So with some help of other ward members from the ward cleaned out his house. We were there with some wars members and we got it all done in like 2 hours! I love serving!! I felt so good after that!! I was just so happy 😊

That same night we had a lesson with D. He is doing really well. He just really wants to be baptized. He and his fiance are planning on getting married on June of next year and then he'll get baptized after that.He wants to come closer to God. He's awesome!

Yesterday was Sunday. D came to church and told us that he prayed and read the BOM and he felt that burning, fuzzy feeling in his chest and he knew it was the spirit. He was just glowing!!
T also came to church.  She has been investigating the church for like almost 20 years. She belonged to the Pentecostal church. And she said that God gave her an answer and that was that the Pentecostal church wasn't for her. So she came to church and she said she's gonna come back😀So that was super cool.

I am loving this work! And it is crazy that I'm 10 months down!
This Church is true the book is blue! 😊😊 love you all!!

Hey everyone!

It's been another great week here in Michigan! It snowed! Here comes my first Michigan Winter!
Here are the highlights from this week:

On Monday we door knocked for a little bit. The first door that we knocked on we met A. We introduced ourselves and we bore our testimony to her of the Book of Mormon. And we gave her a copy. She seemed very excited and interested! We exchanged information. And so we will get in touch with her soon.

On Wednesday night we helped the YW in our ward make pies for girls camp. It was a perfect service opportunity! We were able to get in contact with a couple less actives. It was a lot of fun!

On Thursday we met with M. M is in her early 30s. She is a recent convert. She got really sick a while ago. And so now she's not mentally there. But she is seriously so sweet!

We also met with the M family. We read the "Be not Troubled" talk with them by Elder Rasband. It was a good Lesson and I could tell that they felt the spirit.

On Friday an appointment cancelled on us. So we Door knocked for a little bit. As we were door knocking we were able to meet N. We talked to him a little bit on his door step. As we were talked he asked very important questions. He asked about people who die and never have had the chance to learn about God.  Will  they go to hell?
We told him no. And we talked a little bit about the Plan of Salvation. We gave him the POS pamphlet and the Book of Mormon. He seemed very interested and really loved the answer that we gave him. We will definitely follow up with him soon!

Saturday we met with D and her family! They are doing so good! We taught them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And the spirit was totally there. And J was more engaged in the lesson! It was amazing! They love the church and the lessons!

She also invited us over for thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. J even invited his daughter who isn't a member. So we are excited about that!!

I love it here in Michigan! I love being s missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints! Happy Thanksgiving to you all!! Let all give thanks for everything we've been given :)
Thanks for all the love and support!

Hello family and friends!

Well this week was good! Here's the update:

On Monday we visited with our recent converts the M's. They have been struggling a little bit so it was good that we went over there. It was a good Lesson full of joy and laughter! That's the best kind :)

On Wednesday we went to a less actives house, her name is V and her fiance who is a non member was interested in what we had to say. His name is D. We had a good discussion with them and we were able to pick him up as a new person to teach!

On Thursday we picked up our trainee! Her name is Sister Martin from Riverton Utah and she is seriously the sweetest! Sister Anderson and I  love her so much! Being in a trio is seriously the best!
When we were at the training with all our trainees, President Brennan had all of us go PC on MSU campus for like 45 minutes. So we went out. And Sister Martin did such a good job! She is a rockstar. We handed out 6 Book of Mormons with like 10 minutes to spare. President Brennan said that that was a record! It was seriously one of the best PC experiences I had!

On Saturday we were able to meet with D again. He said that he really enjoyed reading the restoration pamphlet. He agrees with everything. We kinda talked about Baptism and how Christ was baptized. He was so surprised! He didn't know Christ was baptized! He was seriously so blown away! It was really funny!

Yesterday D and D and her family came to church!! They all enjoyed and loved the members. D and her family did think it was too long but we told them to hang on until January when it'll be 2 hours.:)

That night we met with D and her family. They are doing really well. And they are still good for Dec. 8th to be baptized.

I just love being a missionary ❤ I love it here in Michigan! I love it! Thank you all for the love and support and for the prayers! Have a happy Monday!

Nov 6, 2018 TRIO TRAINING!!

Hey family and friends!

As you can see from the subject line my companion and I are trio training! I am so excited! It's going to  be so much fun. We will pick her up on Thursday morning! Fun fun fun!!

Tuesday night we had a lesson with D and her family. We were able to finally teach the restoration. And we also asked them if they knew that what we taught was true, and if they would be baptized. They said yes!
So we put them on baptismal date for Dec. 8th! So exciting! Is was so cool. So when we asked her fiance  if he would pray and ask if these things were true and he said that he didn't need to because he already knows it's true. So that was cool!

Wednesday was Halloween. We went to our ward party. And D and her family came and also this guy named DDl who we met at the human library last week. The ward members were really good with helping them fit in and feel comfortable! I love the Bay City ward!! So after the ward party we went home because our mission President didn't want us out. So we had to be in by 5. Weird. We also went to Lake Huron. We took some pics. It was so pretty.

Saturday was Sister Anderson's 20th birthday! I did my best with decorating her desk. She is amazing and I love her so much!!! So we had lots of sweets and ice cream for her birthday haha!
We also went to a funeral for a lady in our ward. Her name is Sister Richards. I never actually met her but I did feel of her sweet spirit. And it was good for us to be there because she was the only member in her family. So everyone else there were non members. At the end of the funeral we were able to get this an elderly woman's  number who was interested more in what we teach. So we exchanged information.

Sunday was stake conference. Sister Anderson spoke for like 5 minutes on the Book of Mormon. She did so good! I am so blessed to have her as my companion. She has seriously helped me through all my ups and downs! I just love and adore her.

This work is truly the best! The hard days are 100% worth it!

Love you all! Thanks for all your love and support!
