Dear Family and Friends!
TIME FLIES!!! In just a few weeks I'll hit my 2 month mark! Isn't that just crazy!
So our investigator F, as of right now doesn't have the desire to be baptized, but he still wants us to come and teach him. On Saturday we taught him about discernment. And how we can discern the Spirit. We shared some scriptures with him and personal experiences. I do believe that he is enjoying the lessons. We did take him to a baptism on Saturday so he could see what a baptism looks like. And he said that he really enjoyed it. We are just crossing our fingers that he will gain the desire to be baptized.
S said that this whole thing isn't working out for her. So we had to drop her as an investigator, which was very sad, but I think we saw it coming. We told her if she ever needs anything to not hesitate to call or text us.
Basically the rest of the week was us reaching out to the branch members in our branch. Do you remember when I told you all that we passed out pass along cards to some of the branch members? So, we called them last night and asked how their missionary work is going. We will be doing that a lot  because we need the branch members to help us with missionary work, and to help find investigators. It makes me really grateful for the ward I have back home and how they all do missionary work all the time!!
On Tuesday Sister Combe and I went on trade offs with the Sister Training Leaders. It was fun but also very hard. They are serving in the MSU campus. I was with  Sister Bair and we  went finding for a bit. And it was stressful. She would tell me that it was my turn to start the conversation and so as we were walking on campus, I stopped this one guy and introduced myself and asked what his name was and he just said that he needed to go. It was SO AWKWARD! Haha! After that I just imagined all of you doing the finger guns at me saying pew pew. Beeson Family joke.

But on the bright side, right after that, there was this guy standing behind us, and we talked to him for a little bit, I talked to him about families for a little bit, and he talked about how he has a good relationship with his family. And then Sister Bair was explaining that we want that same relationship with God.

So we talked about that for a little bit. Sister Bair had a feeling to go to a scripture in the Book of Mormon, I apologize -I do not remember the scripture, but after she read it, the guy was like, actually I do have a question, he then asked why bad things always happen to good people. He asked if he could find that answer in the Book of Mormon. We both lit up and said YES! So we got his name and phone number and returning appointment. I am sad I wasn't able to go to the returning appointment because me and Sister Bair were only companions for that day. So I hope that it went well.
Thursday we had District Meeting and interviews with President Brennan. It was really good actually. It was nice to talk to my mission president and tell him how I feel. He actually helped a lot. He was very understanding and kind. Tell Brother Robinson that he such a great man and mission president. :)
Yesterday was a good but hard day. Sister Combe helped me a lot and Elder Stevenson (who is a senior missionary in our district) gave me a blessing. It was what I needed then. The Stevensons are seriously the BEST! They are my Michigan Grandparents. They are the sweetest!
That's basically all I remember of this week. Thanks again for all your prayers. I feel them everyday! I love and miss you all! :)

March 12th Letter

Dear family and friends!

My second week here in Michigan was a lot  better than the first. Haha! And to be honest, I don't remember everything that happened this week, everything is a blur, but I will tell you what I do remember.
LOTS of door knocking and finding new investigators. But I did teach my first investigator last week, so that was fun.
We taught this lady named S, and the lesson was ok. I could do better with speaking up. So I will be working on that a lot this week. Anyway, she's really nice. And we will be teaching her again in a couple of weeks cause she is really busy with work. I will give you more details on that when we teach her again.
And then there's N. He's 10. His mom was baptized before I got here. But Sister Combe told me that he did have a baptismal date, but then they had to switch it because he wanted his aunt to be there. The the more we waited the more he was unsure about his decision to be baptized. So as of now, he doesn't want to be baptized :( But we taught them on Saturday. And we talked about testimony, and read Joseph Smith's testimony in the Book of Mormon. His mom was participating in the lesson, but N wasn't really involved. But the lesson I think went really well. I could tell that R felt the Spirit. But Sister Combe and I have been praying that his heart will soften and that he will have a desire to be baptized.
On Friday, was a day of finding the part members in our area, and asking them for referrals. Sadly, we had no luck. But we went to this ladies house, I think her name is K. We knocked on her door, and a man answered the door. We asked him if Kwas there, and he said no and that she doesn't live there anymore. And so we left and went to find the other part members.

About 45 minutes later, my companion had the feeling to go back to that man's house. And we went back and knocked on his door. I told him that we had a feeling to come back, and that we forgot to give him a BOM. And so I testified of the BOM and gave it to him along with a pass along card with our number on it. His name is S and I really hope that he'll call or text us. So far.......nothing.
Our other investigator is F. On Saturday me and my companion and the senior missionaries Elder and Sister Stevenson taught him about prayer. And so we went to the scriptures and looked up stories about prayer. I was able to share a personal experience with him about prayer. And just a background on F, before I got here the sisters had invited him to baptism. He said yes. So they had a date and everything, but then he wasn't sure, he felt like he didn't know enough, so he ended up not getting baptized.

Anyway and so Sister Combe had all of us kneel down and had F ask if what we have taught him is true. And so we probably all knelt down praying for maybe a good 5 to 7 minutes. Afterwards I asked him how he felt, and he said peaceful. And he was right. The spirit there, was just AMAZING!! And I then asked him if he received an answer. And he said that he wasn't sure. We then explained to him that, that peaceful feeling that he felt was his answer. Anyway my companion asked me to invite him to baptism. I was a bit nervous. But I wasn't worried of what I was going to say, and I gained confidence in myself and I invited him to be baptized and he said..........maybe. ugh! I told him that we were having a baptismal service on March 18th and asked him if he would make that date a goal to be baptized and he said he would. I hope and pray that he will have the desire to be baptized this Sunday.

Sunday was an amazing day!! So the beginning of the day was very tough and hard. I will say that opposition is so real. Cause that's all I was feeling in the morning. And then we went to Church. And seriously the Spirit was SO strong. Everything that was said was what I really needed to hear. It was just AMAZING!

And then after Church we had a Potluck at the Church. So we stayed and had some lunch then interacted with some of the members there. Then we went door knocking. We had NO luck.......until the VERY LAST DOOR! So my companion had me start the conversation. And so I knocked on the door, and then this man answered. And I introduced ourselves and told him that we are sharing a message on Jesus Christ, and then I asked him if he had a faith in Jesus Christ. He said yes. And then my companion started talking about the Book of Mormon. I asked him if reading the Book of Mormon is something he would want to do. He said maybe. And so without hesitation I grabbed a BOM out of my bag and I testified to him the BOM is true and promised him as he read it he will feel of the Spirit everyday. I also gave him a pass along card with mormon.org on it and our phone number. My companion asked if we could come by sometime to teach him a lesson. And he told us that he was gonna be out of town for a few weeks, but he gave us his name and phone number so that we could keep in touch with him. His name is C, and I really hope that we will soon teach him a lesson.
So that was my week. I told you it was AMAZING! It's hard, but totally worth it. This week I can say the God was testing and trying our faith. But I know that as we keep having faith in Christ, and press forward, and forget ourselves and get to work, that miracles will happen!
Thank you all for your prayers. I can feel them. Especially this week. THANK YOU ALL!
I love and miss you all :) But not enough to go home!

Dear family and friends!!
HELLO FROM MICHIGAN!!!!

I will admit, I do miss the mountains a lot! It's super flat here.  But the trees and lakes make up for it. The first day I got here, me and a few other Sisters were able to spent the night at the mission home. My mission presidents are the best! I love the Brennans! And then that next day I met my trainer for the first time. My trainer is Sister Combe. And she's great! I love her. I've learned a lot from her. We have a really nice apartment! We both have our own bathrooms, and a walk in closet, and a washer and dryer. So that 's super nice!

Anyway, Thursday was my first experience with door knocking. And it was SUPER SCARY! The very first door I knocked, I explained to the guy that we were the missionaries in his area, and how we are sharing a message on Jesus Christ. And he told us he was atheist, so as he was closing the door I was just like oh ok, have a good day. Haha! But I think I have the hang of it now.....ish. But it does get a bit frustrating cause all the doors we've knocked on NO ONE has been interested in our message. There are times I just want to barge myself into their homes and testify of this Gospel. But I came here into the field knowing it was going to be hard, and it is.

Saturday was a good day. We dropped by a recent convert's house. R, and her 10 year old son  N. R got baptized before I got here. And our goal is to get N to baptism. She is a very sweet lady. And her son is very huggy. I didn't even know the kid but he came over and gave me a hug. Anyway, R was very stressed out with her finances. And how disorganized she was. And so we stayed and helped her organize her finances for about an hour. And then after we dropped by Shay Smokers house and she is not a member, and we happened to come when her and her family were cleaning out her shed, so we offered to help. So with dresses on and a desire to work, my companion and I helped them clean their shed. And we did that for maybe and hour and a half.

We are teaching a lady named A tonight! We found her on Thursday as we were walking around. I loved how willing she was to have us come and share with her what we believe. So next Tuesday, I'll let you know how that goes.

Yesterday, we door knocked a bit more, I have never been so frustrated in my life. But we were only able to knock just a few houses, cause we had an appointment at 5:30 with the H family. They are all members. And a very sweet family. We taught them a lesson about prophets. It was a short but sweet lesson. We did stay a bit longer to chat. I was able to talk with one of their daughters, G. She's 8, and super sweet. We got to know each other a bit.

But my favorite part of last night was when Brother H explained how all the members should help the full time missionaries. Members do help by praying for us, which is good and very kind of them. But we want them to get out there and help us find investigators.

Elder Bednar explains: "Members are full time finders, and missionaries are full time teachers" I just love that. We told Bro. H that we were going to fast today so we can find investigators, and he was willing to fast with us. So that really meant a lot!

So that's what my first week in Michigan looked like :)

Well I love you all! And thank you for the prayers! I can truly feel them. Love and miss you!!

Dear family and friends! It’s so crazy to think that I will be in Michigan TOMORROW!!!!!
So we need to wake up at 4 to be at the travel office by 4:50!! It’s gonna be a very long, tiring, but very exciting day. I am kinda sad to leave the MTC. I’ve loved it here. And I’ll definitely miss my district. We became such good friends these last few weeks. There is me and my companion and two other sisters with one elder from my district going to Lansing. But that’s just in my district. There’s like 21 sisters and elders all together leaving to go to Lansing.
And yes mom I joined the MTC choir. I loved it!

This week was so good, last Tuesday we had a devotional and we sang Praise to the Man! The spirit was so strong as we all sang. Also we had the opportunity to hear from ELDER HOLLAND!!!!!! It was truly so amazing. Words can’t describe the spirit that we all felt.

Also I forgot to you all that I was the pianist for sacrament meeting. So thank you mom for making me take piano lessons!! And my companion and I also got released as Sister Training Leaders. That’s all I can remember from this week, everything else is a blur.

Well I hope you are all doing well. I pray for you all everyday. Thanks for your prayers! I can truly feel them :) also congrats Eliza!! I am so happy that you’re having another baby boy!
The next time you’ll hear from me, I’ll be in MICHIGAN!!
Love and miss you all!
